Helen Meissner, who recently started her own music project having promoted independent singer songwriters for the last ten years, is releasing her third EP ConFusion on 6th May. This date coincides with her first gig, appearing at Vanishing Point’s much anticipated return. Regular events hosted by Neil March in and around London.
ConFusion offers six tracks which conjure the mass of contradictions we’ve all faced over the last year.
ConFusion represents a slice of the extremes of perhaps at times, unfamiliar emotions.
The EP opens with a completely chaotic range of reactions in Chaos Reigns, as ‘rules’ got changed with just a days notice. Followed by Mind The Gap, a track I would have loved to rave to. And perhaps will this year?
The juxtaposition of the ugly balanced with the beautiful moments lockdown brings us to Dystopia and sentimental memories of a ‘free’ life in Utopia.

Netflix and Chill is imbued with the sexy and exhilarating anticipation of spending time with someone you’d like to get to know better and the EP is rounded off with a playful finale as Swings and Roundabouts offers us some hope for the future.
