So hopefully we’re at the point in the journey where we accept that we’ve got to please ourselves and create the life WE want. We are the only people we can be certain to please as we’ve established that other people have their own agenda, inevitably. And sometimes, whatever you do, there will be someone who will complain/not like it. And what’s more, might share that view with you! Funny how we can remember the one unkind remark in a sea of hundreds of positive ones! But we need to see it for what it is. It says more about them and their personal insecurities than it does about us. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT!
I believe that once we are being self respecting and authentic about who we are, that this attracts others into our life who are also radiating the same values. Just make sure you notice it and don’t be too cynical if it all comes too easily! Why shouldn’t the good things happen for you too!? Just because perhaps in the past you’ve made choices or decisions that misfired, you can always ‘start afresh’ with a new outlook.

Once I’ve been clear about what I want or need in my life at any given time, the thing has materialised and not always via the obvious route.
Opportunities will come your way to help you get where you need, once you are clear about what you need. It really is that simple. The hard part is getting to the stage where you know what you want and what direction you want to go in right now. You can always veer off that path as things evolve but you need to start somewhere. And your ‘value priorities’ can help guide you here.
There’s a limitless pot of good fortune and if we help others around us get where they want (or even help them consider what they want in the first place) we will be able to bring others up around us and have fun enjoying their success. Which might well present differently to our own success.
Envy and jealousy steal the good times and we need to realise that we can ALL be successful, in our own different ways. If we can detach from feelings of comparison and realise that everyone is showing ‘their best life’ on the socials, like we’re probably doing too, that we really don’t know the demons that they are beset by. As they might not know ours. That’s life. We don’t need to be carbon copies of each other. We each make our own route. Learning how someone else has come to their good fortune is helpful and you know what, most of the time it boils down to persistence, picking yourself up when things appear to go sour and trying again. And a kind message sent at these times can make the world of difference. To us as well as them.

So sharing kind thoughts, congratulations and empathy as often as possible becomes a mission which is wholly positive and creates a really virtuous cycle which can be the gift that keeps on giving way after the event.
This can be achieved via retweets, liking comments and posts and sending the odd personal message to someone, both when they are suffering AND celebrating.
It’s these kinds of things that create the glue as we commune with the world at large. We need to feel involved, relevant and helpful. Kindness is something we can all display and it is rewarded in heaps.
There will always be people who don’t understand your choices, appear to judge or condemn you (especially if you do things that are quite radical or ‘brave’ (always a backhanded compliment that one eh?). But you will, if you are true to yourself you may notice that you feel ‘lighter’ and able to join in more with the dance of life. And perhaps gradually ‘find your tribe’ Might be just be one or two, but they are out there, and once you shine your light into the world, they will see it and they will come.
